Some people Walk In the Rain, others just get wet

Upland Paths
With the increased and increasing numbers of people visiting the outdoors for exercise and recreation, it is important that we manage the impact on fragile hill, moorland and mountain landscapes.
To address this we create and maintain footpaths and trails to reduce erosion from the effects of water and footfall..
We can construct paths from aggregate, subsoil, or flagstones. We are also skilled in the specialist upland technique of 'stone pitching' where large boulders are buried until one face is showing above ground. This is suited to high traffic areas and very steep gradients.
All work completed is focused on ensuring that footpaths are in keeping with the landscape and blend in with their environment.
