We had the pleasure of assisting a local contractor with the installation of some dams on a Lancashire peat bog.


These dams hold water back - obviously - which performs a number of tasks

  • reduce the speed of flow - thereby reducing erosion

  • keeps the peat moist / wet. If peat drys out it releases carbon rather than storing it
